The Conversation Station currently offers conversation clubs for intermediate or advanced learners of Spanish or English as a Second (or Third!) Language.

What can a conversation club do for YOU?
- Give you a relaxed, FUN environment in which to practice conversation with others at your same level of language proficiency.

- Let you meet new friends who share your love of language.

- In summary, help you speak more easily and understand more!

Why a conversation club?
Formal language classes focus on grammar and vocabulary, which give you a solid language base.

The Conversation Station takes learning a step further by allowing you to practice speaking your new language in everyday situations that give you exposure to meaningful conversation.

How does this work?
- We play games, have conversations, go out to eat, take field trips -- anything that reflects the interests of the members and is related to the language you are learning.

- Separate clubs are formed for teens, college students, and adults.

- We meet in coffeehouses around town. Each session consists of six meetings over a 3-month period, with clubs generally meeting every two weeks for two hours each time. Join anytime!

- Clubs are kept very small, so you get maximum practice (and maximum improvement). New clubs are formed as additional people join.

- Topics vary according to the group's interest.

-This is not a class, although clubs are led by a very experienced language teacher. Grammar questions will be answered as they arise, but the focus is on REAL COMMUNICATION, not grammar or rules! Join us for great conversation!
